Final Year Project Mentorship in Mardan

Your final year project is the biggest piece of work you will show to a supervisor, a defence panel and later an employer. Softhat mentors final-year students through it: choosing an idea that is worth building, writing a proposal that gets approved, designing the system, reviewing your code every week and rehearsing the viva.

Overview

Build an FYP you can defend

Your final year project is the biggest piece of work you will show to a supervisor, a defence panel and later an employer. Softhat mentors final-year students through it: choosing an idea that is worth building, writing a proposal that gets approved, designing the system, reviewing your code every week and rehearsing the viva.

Sessions run onsite at our Mardan office or remotely on Google Meet with WhatsApp follow-ups, so students of universities in Mardan, across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the rest of Pakistan can join. You build the project; we make sure you understand every part of it.

Who it is for

Is this mentorship for you?

  • Final-year BS students of Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT and Data Science, individually or as a team
  • Students of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Women University Mardan, UET Mardan and other universities and colleges in and around Mardan
  • Teams still choosing an idea, teams that need their proposal approved, and teams stuck halfway before the mid or final evaluation
  • Students who want their FYP to become a real portfolio piece that helps in internship and job interviews

What we cover

From idea to viva

  1. 01

    Idea and scope

Shortlist ideas that solve a real problem, fit your team and semester, and are big enough for the panel but small enough to finish.

  2. 02

    Proposal

Problem statement, objectives, scope, methodology and timeline, written in your own words and in your department’s format.

  3. 03

    Architecture and stack

Pick the right stack, design the database and APIs, and plan modules so every team member owns a clear part.

  4. 04

    Weekly code reviews

Regular sessions on your own repository: we review, explain and challenge, and you fix and learn.

  5. 05

    AI integration

Add LLMs, agents, chatbots, WhatsApp automation or ML models properly, with sensible costs and fallbacks.

  6. 06

    Testing and deployment

Test plans, a live deployed demo and a clean GitHub repository you can share with recruiters.

  7. 07

    Documentation structure

How to structure your SRS, design document and final report so they match what you built. You write it; we review it.

  8. 08

    Viva and final demo

Mock defence sessions with the questions panels usually ask, so you can explain every decision with confidence.

Project areas

What you can build

  • AI agents and LLM apps
  • Chatbots and WhatsApp automation
  • Web apps and SaaS
  • Mobile apps
  • Data science and machine learning
  • Management systems: school, clinic, POS, factory
  • Urdu and Pashto language tools
  • E-commerce and marketplaces

Academic integrity

Mentorship, not a project for sale

  • You write the code and the documents. We guide, review and explain; we never build or write your project for submission.
  • Your supervisor and department come first. We work within their format, deadlines and instructions.
  • Every session is meant to leave you able to explain your own system in the viva.

How it works

Four steps

  1. 01

    Apply

Fill the form with your university, department, team size and project idea, if you have one.

  2. 02

    Intro session

We look at your idea or shortlist, your department's requirements and your deadlines.

  3. 03

    Milestone plan

A plan built around your proposal, mid and final evaluation dates.

  4. 04

    Mentor until the viva

Weekly sessions onsite or remote, code reviews and a mock defence before the final.

FAQ

Questions about FYP mentorship

Do you make the final year project for us?

No. Buying or outsourcing an FYP is academic misconduct and leaves you unable to defend it. We mentor: you build the project and write the documents, and we guide, review and explain until you understand every part.

Is this only for students of universities in Mardan?

No. Students of any university or college can join. Students in and around Mardan can come to our office; everyone else joins remotely on Google Meet with WhatsApp follow-ups.

Is Softhat affiliated with any university?

No. Softhat IT Solutions is an independent software house in Mardan. Mentorship complements your supervisor's guidance and follows your department's rules; it does not replace them.

Can we join after our proposal is already approved?

Yes. Teams join at every stage: choosing an idea, before the proposal defence, during development, or a few weeks before the final evaluation for reviews and viva practice.

Do you mentor teams or individual students?

Both. Most FYPs are built by teams of two to four, and sessions are planned so every member owns and understands a part of the system.

Which technologies can you help with?

Web (React, Next.js, Node.js, Laravel, Django), mobile (Flutter, React Native), Python, databases, cloud deployment, and AI: LLM APIs, agents, chatbots, WhatsApp automation and machine learning models.

Can a good FYP lead to an internship at Softhat?

Students who do well are welcome to apply for our internships, and a deployed FYP with clean code is exactly the kind of portfolio we look at.
